Heritage Information Sessions a Great Success

The Biosis Heritage Team has now completed an intense seminar program across the state of Victoria.  Over 400 people participated in the 12 sessions, with several conducted in Melbourne, and further sessions in regional centres, including Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Horsham, Traralgon, Shepparton, Warrnambool and Wodonga.

The presentations were conducted by Biosis Heritage staff with the assistance of our Environmental Planner, Ben Howells.  The information sessions focused on identifying the changing landscape of heritage management in Victoria over the past 7 years, and made some prognostications of likely changes arising from the current reviews of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and the Victorian Heritage Act 1995.

We would like to thank all those that attended the sessions and we encourage you, or anyone who missed out, to contact us if you have any follow-up queries or would like to arrange further information sessions in your workplace or region.

Please contact our Melbourne office on 03 8686 4800 for more information.
