Mark Roberts

Mark Roberts is the NSW Principal Environmental Planner for Biosis and APEM Group with more than 16 years’ experience in the environmental sector. Mark is a specialist in partnering with clients to prepare and manage a range of environmental impact assessments responding to NSW and Commonwealth legislation; environmental management plans and strategies; constraints analyses; bushfire and hazard assessment; environmental planning advice; and independent environmental auditing.

Mark’s expertise services a range of industries including mining and extractive industries; road, water, electricity, rail and community infrastructure; waste management; coal seam gas; and residential subdivisions.

Mark has managed various complex environmental approval processes and the associated technical studies under Part 4 and Part 5 of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EPA Act) including the Marulan Limestone Mine, Sydney Precast Concrete Products Facility, Downer Sustainable Road Resources Centre, Revesby Biosecurity Treatment Facility and the Banksmeadow Transfer Terminal.

Mark has successfully led multidisciplinary teams of specialists with strong communication and management skills. He specialises in delivering client-focused solutions while managing social and environmental risk, reputation, regulatory approvals and compliance.
