We’re looking for an experience Botanist to join our team in Newcastle, Gosford and/or Wollongong.
As a key member of our team, you will have the chance to contribute your expertise to a variety of exciting projects. You will primarily focus on working with onshore wind, offshore wind, solar and battery storage projects, as well working on stewardship sites and private land conservation agreements.
To excel in this role field experience is essential, and previous consulting experience will be highly regarded. Your ability to adapt to diverse projects and locations will be crucial as you will work on multiple assignments with varying demands. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential attributes to ensure success in this position.
A valid driver’s license and Australian work rights are required for this role.

To apply you will need to submit a CV and cover letter addressing the following required skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in ecology, environmental science, environmental management or related field.
- Preferably, a minimum of two years’ of experience, within consultancy or the public sector.
- Developing flora identification skills.
- Experience with field survey design and implementation.
- Working knowledge of Commonwealth and state legislation with regard to ecology.
- Sound proposal and report writing skills.
- Developing project management skills, including small managing budgets and delivery within set timeframes.
- Willingness to undertake long periods of fieldwork in both urban and remote locations.
