We are looking for an entry level environmental science communications officer who can also support team culture development on a 12 month contract. Join our team in Sydney and grow your skills in a fast paced, knowledgeable and supportive environment.

• Help to manage and maintain our online presence

• Help us manage networking, sponsorships and staff culture

• Work with one of Australia’s leading ecology and heritage consultancies

What you’ll do:

We have an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about environmental science and heritage communications and marketing to join our team in Sydney on a 12-month contract, with strong potential to transition into a permanent role.

Working with our Marketing and Sales Leads, the Communications and Events Officer will be responsible for helping to manage our social media accounts and website content, arranging marketing opportunities in the way of sponsorships and networking event opportunities, and supporting some internal culture building activities.

This is a diverse role that could see you scheduling social media posts on Monday, booking consultants into a networking event on Tuesday, writing a news article for our website on Wednesday, and reviewing menus for the staff party on Thursday. Friday could be all the above!

With our employees spread over nine offices, you’ll need great personal communication skills and maintain good working relationships across the business

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Qualifications in communications, marketing, or a similar field.

• Interest or work experience in an environmental science field

• Experience managing online communications such as websites and social media.

• Experience in event coordination.

• Experience in typical web applications such as Canva, Mailchimp and Later. Please include examples of your Canva designs.

• Good proof-reading skills, please include examples of copy you have written.

• Australian working rights
