Felicity Williams

Bachelor of Science (Honours), La Trobe University | Graduate Diploma Education (Secondary), Edith Cowan University Senior Zoologist - Bat Ecology

Felicity has over ten years’ experience in applied ecology and ecological consulting, with specialist skills in bat ecology, particularly microbat ultrasonic data collection and analysis. Felicity has been involved in a range of ecological studies of varying scales as both a field zoologist, project manager and technical specialist (microbats) in New South Wales (NSW), Victoria and Tasmania. Felicity has worked on a range of projects evaluating development effects on wildlife species and habitats including residential developments, large infrastructure projects (road, rail, pipelines), and renewable energy developments. Felicity is particularly experienced in planning and implementing bat utilisation surveys for large-scale wind energy projects to inform Bird and Bat Adaptive Management Plans (BBAMP). Felicity has actively explored new technologies and their application and implementation during pre-construction surveys including at-height data collection and thermal camera surveys.
Technical skills include general and targeted fauna surveys, fauna habitat assessments, microbat call data collection and analysis, environmental impact assessment and preparation of management plans. Felicity supports the NSW ecology team as a Senior Zoologist. Felicity’s skills in data analysis, research, technical writing and attention to detail make her a valuable asset to the ecology team.
