As Team Leader – Operations (NSW Ecology) at Biosis, APEM Group Australia, Jake leads the NSW ecology operations team, supporting the coordination and delivery of ecological projects across a diverse portfolio of work. He provides both technical guidance and day-to-day operational support to staff and projects, helping ensure effective planning, resourcing and delivery of field programs, reporting and client engagement to achieve high-quality outcomes.
Jake has over five years’ experience in the environmental sector, working across ecology and environmental management in NSW. He has strong expertise in native plant identification and a broad academic foundation in both botany and zoology, supporting delivery across a range of flora and fauna assessments.
He has extensive experience delivering ecological input for large scale essential infrastructure projects, particularly for Sydney Water and Transport for NSW, and is accredited in the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM). Jake has led and contributed to numerous Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDARs), Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSARs), Flora and Fauna Assessments (FFAs), and Vegetation Management Plans (VMPs), including large-scale vegetation mapping and targeted threatened species across NSW.
In addition to technical delivery, Jake contributes to project management, proposal preparation and client liaison, and supports the coordination and development of team capability to ensure ecological advice is effectively integrated into project design and delivery.
