Team Leader, Heritage- Victoria.

A bit about the team…

The Victorian Heritage Team  is seeking a new Team Leader to join and lead an already established, vibrant, diverse and high-performing group of heritage professionals. We are a close-knit team of more than 20 dedicated and talented individuals including Archaeologists, Historians and Research Assistants.

As a team, we strive to not only meet, but to exceed our business values statements. Our greatest asset is our people and your greatest reward in this role will be the ability to  participate in the growth and development of an already incredible team, because of your leadership and support.

The role

As a Team Leader you will have the opportunity to work across a number of high-level tasks, including scheduling and workflows, proposal preparation and client relationship, project and financial management, and team development.

You may also chose to concentrate on sales, client management, technical development, or many other aspects of the role. As a leader in the business your personal values will influence your decisions and you will be given the autonomy to pick your own path and develop relationships within the heritage team, but also across the business.

Once settled in, you will have the opportunity to expand on your leadership, management, and people skills in the direction of your choosing, whilst maintaining strong relationships with your direct reports within the heritage team.

We give our Managers and Team Leaders time and space to mentor and develop our consultants, supported by the Consultant Development Program and the Learning and Development Coordinator, team coaches and team mentors. As a team leader you will also be provided with opportunities for your own professional growth and support to attend conferences, networking events, internal and external training, and industry events as part of your professional development.

Collaborative, respectful teamwork is essential, as you will be joining two other Team Leaders and the Manager-Heritage (Victoria) in ensuring the ongoing success of the team.
