Project Management Administrator.

Biosis is looking to appoint an energetic Project Management Administrator to join our team in Port Melbourne on a full-time, 12-month contract with the opportunity to extend for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading consultancy that provides ecological, heritage and environmental approval services throughout south-eastern Australia.

Biosis employs a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team of aquatic ecologists, archaeologists, botanists, zoologists, environmental planners and GIS analysts.  We have offices in Albury, Ballarat, Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney, Wangaratta, Western Sydney and Wollongong.

Our Melbourne office is located in Port Melbourne, close to the CBD and easily accessible by public transport.  We are a very short walk from the North Port tram stop. This central location provides access to all the services of Melbourne without the hassle of traffic and parking.

About the role

This role is an excellent opportunity for a junior to associate-level administrator looking to expand their knowledge through supporting a wide variety of heritage and ecology projects in a busy and progressive environmental consultancy. The Project Management Administrator works as part of the head office and supports senior staff with administrative duties such as assisting in the preparation and maintenance of project budgets, coordinating inbox and phone communications, undertaking data entry and maintaining data integrity within the project management database (APS), assisting in the preparation of proposals and tenders, editing and formatting reports, documents and templates, maintenance and development of Excel worksheets, coordination of compliance activities and continuous improvement of internal project management systems.

  • The ability to coordinate multiple logistical and project administration tasks.
  • An understanding of data governance adherence to promote data integrity.
  • The ability to coordinate team communications and activities.
  • Strong written communication skills such as experience in proposal and tender preparation.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • A high level of competency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or similar software packages.
  • Australian citizenship or residency, or a valid work permit.

Desirable selection criteria

  • Certificate III in Business Administration, or equivalent qualifications or experience.
  • Experience working within a consulting environment.
