Management Assistant, Melbourne – 12 month contract position.

Biosis is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic administrative professional to join our busy ecology and archaeology consultancy in a newly created role.

The management assistant will be responsible for supporting the chief operating officer and company directors in the Melbourne head office. In this varied role, the management assistant will provide broad administrative support including the preparation of reports, documents and presentations, coordination of meetings and travel, HR administration and a range of other support tasks.

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • providing administrative support to the chief operating officer and directors
  • preparation of reports for board, management and shareholder meetings
  • supporting the management and maintenance of HR administration, including employee onboarding and induction
  • supporting the preparation and running of internal and external events.

To be successful in the role you will require:

  • a minimum of two years’ experience providing administrate support to managers
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • well-developed time management skills
  • strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • ability to work independently, to prioritize work demands and to respond to urgent requests when required
  • demonstrated planning and organisational skills and the ability to coordinate the work of others
  • the ability to think on your feet, display initiative and problem solve
  • intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or similar software packages.
