Expressions of Interest: Casual Fieldwork Positions.

During our peak fieldwork seasons (spring and summer), Biosis often employs casual field staff to support our ecology and heritage teams. 

If you have qualifications in ecology or heritage, or if you’re a current university student studying a relevant degree, we welcome expressions of interest to join our casual fieldwork register. 

How to submit a casual fieldwork expression of interest

To apply, please send a copy of your CV (detailing your education and employment history) and a covering letter to

Ensure your covering letter includes the following:

  • Full name 
  • Contact details (phone and email) 
  • Academic qualifications and year conferred 
  • Availability 
  • Preferred working locations (please outline which of our office locations you’re interested in)
  • Confirmation of your working rights in Australia (please note: we can only employ you if you hold Australian citizenship/residency or a valid work permit).

What happens after you register

Your details will be kept confidentially on our system for the remainder of the financial year. 

Hiring managers from our ecology and heritage teams have access to the casual register. Our hiring managers will contact you directly if they have an appropriate casual position that suits your preferred location, availability and qualifications. 

Submitting your expression of interest and joining the casual register does not guarantee employment with Biosis. 

The casual register is for short-term fieldwork engagements. If you hold relevant qualifications and experience and you’re interested in longer-term work with Biosis, you may wish to submit an expression of interest for full-time or part-time positions.
