Compliance and Services Coordinator, Port Melbourne.

Biosis is seeking a compliance and services coordinator to join our multi-disciplined team based in Port Melbourne. This is an opportunity to join a market leading consultancy which provides ecological, heritage, GIS and environmental planning services throughout south-eastern Australia. We have offices in Port Melbourne, Albury, Ballarat, Newcastle, Sydney, Wangaratta and Wollongong.

Our Port Melbourne office is located close to the CBD and is easily accessible by public transport.  We are a very short walk from the North Port tram stop, providing access to all the services of Melbourne without the hassle of traffic and parking. This role will work closely with the services manager to support the successful delivery of policy compliance and services across the company.

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • supervision of Biosis policy and compliance ensuring we meet our regulatory obligations as it relates to AS 4801, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • assisting with the completion of tender schedules and work health and safety (WHS) compliance
  • direct line supervision of Biosis technical assistants ensuring the management and maintenance of equipment, buildings and vehicles
  • organising and assisting all offices, with general administration as directed by the services manager.

To be successful in the role you will require:

  • a minimum of three years’ experience in policy compliance
  • demonstrated experience supervising small teams of staff
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • well-developed time management skills
  • demonstrated ability to operate within a small dynamic team in a complex environment
  • ability to engage diverse stakeholders in a regulatory context
  • demonstrated planning and organisational skills and ability to coordinate the work of others
  • demonstrated ability to research, prepare and analyse data, reports and papers related to policy, quality and compliance
  • clear, concise and effective communication skills and ability to think on your feet and problem solve
  • competency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or similar software packages.
